The Annapurna Circuit

  • Setting out from Kathmandu, we take a long, and I mean LONG bus ride over some of the roughest roads in the world to the town of Besisahar. We drive through some of the most breathtaking landscapes and villages, arriving late to the small village of Besisahar. We decided to take a shot bus to the next village on where we began our first day of hiking on the Annapurna Circuit. Join us as we set out on one of the most famous long distance treks in the world and get an idea of the costs, route and planning associated with the trip.

  • We are hiking from Jagat to Chame today through the dense jungle of Nepal in the Annapurna range. Join us as we eat delicious Nepali food in our cozy teahouses and trek across one of the most iconic trails in the world.

  • Join us as we hike from Chame to Upper Pisang, see our first Yak and try some local homebrew! The terrain is changing from dense jungle to alpine mountains and the views are incredible. We stay in a new guesthouse that is levered over the cliff face and every gust of wind made the entire place shake.

  • Join us as we climb through desert scrub to the town of Ngawal. Kailani is having juniper allergies and the hiking is getting tougher! This is our 5th day of trekking on the Annapurna Circuit and the scenery is getting amazing! We get amazing views of Gangapurna and the himalayas in Nepal! If you are enjoying the content and are interested in doing the Annapurna circuit yourself, I wrote a 32 page guidebook that will provide you with all the information you need to do this trek with no guide just like we did!

  • We finally get a rest day! It was a nice easy walk to Manang and we really took advantage of our rest day. We hike to Brakkah to see the old monastery there. We climbed up to the Gangapurna Lake lookout point for acclimatization. Best of all, we indulged in some of the best food we have had on the Annapurna circuit so far. Our tea house was closer to a resort and we had the best pastries of the trek so far. thank you so much for joining us today I hope you enjoy the video!

  • I have a long day of hiking from Manang to Tilicho base camp only to realize that every room is booked! The hike takes us through a dangerous landslide area, a gorgeous river valley and right up to the base of incredible glaciers. Join me as I hike through the beautiful himalayas on the way to one of the highest elevation lakes in the world!

  • Hiking back along the valley, we split off in Shree Kharka to go pas tupper Khangsar for amazing views of the Himalayas. Everyone got altitude sickness from taking a jeep all the way to Khangsar, it's about 3000 m up! Join me as I walk back through the landslide area and make my way to the village of Yak Kharka.

  • Hiking from Yak Kharka to Thorong High camp takes us another 900 meters up to a wicked cold elevation of 4900 meters. The hiking takes us across snowy mountains and another dangerous landslide zone. We saw some beautiful wild blue sheep. In the next episode we will be crossing one of the widest mountain passes in the world, Thorong La Pass in the Himalayas in Nepal. Thank you so much for being here with me and enjoy the video!

  • Today I am hiking up to 5,416 Meters and completing the Annapurna Circuit! I left Thorong high Camp at 6:00, just as the sun was rising. It was a cold but beautiful morning and the hiking was serene in the pre-dawn. How was it going over the pass and what lessons have I learned? After trekking here in the Himalayas I can't wait to come back to these amazing mountains to do more trekking! Join me next time as I relax in Pokhara and enjoy some much needed fresh food!
